She probably married John Bowmer on November 14, 1875 in Casey County, Kentucky. Someone named Mary A. Luttrell did, however, there is no evidence indicating whether or not this was the same Mary A. Luttrell. From her headstone, she is the correct age, however, there is only about 90% certainty that this is her. It could be someone else the same age with the same name in the same place at the same time. It happens sometimes, especially when a lot of cousins are named after the same person.
She married relatively late in life for the time; she would have been 35 years old.
John F. Bowmer was a widow with several children. According to find-a-grave, they were Sarah Frances, John Alfred Caudell, and Mary Margaret Bowmer.
John and Mary went on to have three children of their own. According to Find-a-grave those children were Nancy Emmaline, Abraham Lincoln Bowmer, and James Wiley Bowmer. Census records indicate that there is a son named John (probably with his first wife), because the head of household is listed as John Sr. The census records also confirm Nancy E. and James W., and add a son named Marion A.L., who is probably Abraham Lincoln Bowmer.
The family appears on the 1880 census in Casey County, Kentucky:
John Bowmer Sr Self M 60 Kentucky, United States
Mary A Bowmer Wife F 40 Kentucky, United States
Nancy E Bowmer Daughter F 3 Kentucky, United States
Marion A L Bowmer Son M 1 Kentucky, United States
The family appears on the 1900 census in Casey County, Kentucky:
John Bowmer Head M 85 Kentucky
Mary A Bowmer Wife F 60 Kentucky
James W Bowmer Son M 18 Kentucky
This census also estimates the year of their marriage as 1876, which is only one year off from the record above.
Assuming this is the correct Mary Ann Luttrell, she died on December 7, 1913, and is buried in Bowmer Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky.
