Biography

Georgia was born in Hardin County, TN found in the 1900 ED 28 Civil District 2 (formerly Civil District 3, Old Town Precinct), Hardin, Tennessee, United States" The family lived there and moved to Calhoun County, MS before the 1910 Miss. Census. The family stayed in Farm Houses and barns on the travels to MS. They stayed in a Barn one Christmas and she told me (Deborah Turner-10930) that they worried that Santa Clause would find them there. They were plum without, she said, but the farmer who owned the barn made sure they not only had a warm dry place to live, but made sure that they all had a pleasant Christmas surprise from Santa on Christmas morning. Georgia Luttrell was enumerated as daughter of the head of household James Herbert Luttrell at Beat 3, Calhoun County, Mississippi for the April 21, 1910.[1] She was noted as born 1897 in Tennessee and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head James R Lutrell, wife Lorna (Leona) Lutrell, son Herbert Lutrell, daughter Cora Lutrell, daughter Delora Lutrell and son Willis Lutrell.[2] Georgia married in IL, and she and her family lived in Dawson Springs KY and IL through the years, they came back to Calhoun County each year on vacation. They would stay with her parents, when they were still living, and all the family would come and visit them there. Georgia and "Mack" McDonald has a son James Robert McDonald, named after her father James Robert Luttrell. Georgia was a Happy lady, that brought laughter where ever she went. She lived a long, full life, before she died in Peoria IL, where she lived with her son and his wife Gwyn.

Lived in Cuba, Ill. and Peoria, Ill. Buried in Ilsley Cemetery, Dawson Springs, KY.
