Katharina (Lutz) Meisner is a Volga German.
Katharina (Lutz) Meisner has German Roots.
Family #10 in the appendix of the 1798 Grimm census.
Family #99 in the 1834 Grimm census.
Katharina Barbara Lutz was the daughter of
Johannes Lutz and Elisabeth Dumler. According to the 1798 census, her mother was a widow, meaning her father died before that year. Katharina Barbara's youngest sibling was two years old, so her father died between 1796 and 1798.
Sometime after the 1798 census her mother married Philip Dumler, also a widower. Her two younger sisters married and moved out of the family home. Katharina had no brothers, the family members who traditionally remained living in their parents' home, keeping that property in the family. Perhaps because she was the oldest child, it was she who remained in the family home after her marriage to Johann Kaspar Meisner.
For a discussion about her parents and determining who her father was, see the profile for her mother, Elisabeth Dumler.
