Biography

Catherine may have been born around 1756 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, but this needs to be confirmed with primary sources. She first married the Reverend Hans Michael Traut about 1779.^{[citation needed]} Reverend Traut died in 1780.^[1] Next, she married John Mefford around 1781 or 1782.^[2][3]

By 1793, the family was living in Scott County, Kentucky.^[4] After Michael's death in 1796, Catherine married Jacob Kiger in Harrison County, Kentucky.^[5]

Catherine died in 1804 in Harrison County and was buried in Antioch Cemetery.^{[citation needed]}
