Biography

Urbanus was born about 1618. He is the son of Leur Kuykendall and Christinje. He was a stone mason. He married Jannetje Claes [1] Boone in Amsterdam. Urbanus and Jannetje had four children baptised in Amsterdam. Urbanus and his brother Jacob brought their families to New Amsterdam around 1645.

Urbanus was drowned at sea on a return trip to his homeland in 1647. His ship de Princes was caught in a storm and sank off the coast of Wales. His widow was carrying a child at the time of Urbanus death.

Jannetje married Tobias Teuniszen.
