Grandpa Lykins came from Ky to Ohio to visit us a couple of summers. I remember he used to sit on the front porch of our little farm house and watch me as I played, gazing out over the fields. He was a quiet man. He would take me on walks down a cow path into the thicket showing me the snapping turtle under the log bridge over the creek. He introduced me to nice spider webs with dew on them. He passed away at the age of 78 when I was 5.
