Note: Info from ancestry.co.uk. 2 According to the info I have from a cousin of mine who made our family tree booklet, our William Lyle SR was born in Paisley, Scotland and died in Groton, Vermont. There are no dates in my information. He married Jennette and had 4 sons, all born in Scotland. William Lyle Jr., one of the sons, died Oct. 5, 1858 in Illinois. There is no reference to his birth date, but in 1837 he, his wife, and their 7 children moved to Illinois. They ended up with 15 children in all, the last born being my great-grandfather Rufus Lyle.
