Biography

The Reverend Isaac Lyman was the son of Moses and Mindwell (Sheldon) Lyman, born in 1725. He would graduate from Yale and became a minister in York, Maine, where he preached the gospel for many years. He would marry Ruth Plummer, daughter of Dr. David and Ann (Newman) Plummer, on April 14, 1750. Together they would have the following children:

Olive (Lyman) Plummer (1755–1802)

Theodosia (Lyman) Bragdon (1750–1837)

Theodore Lyman (1755–1839)

Lucy (Lyman) Keating (1758–1803)

Mary (Lyman) Buckminster (1765–1805)

Elizabeth (Lyman) Gilman (1768–1854)

Isaac would pass away in 1810 at 85 years of age.
