Charlotte was born about 1850 to the shoemaker Patrick Lynch.
She married the widowed tailor John Crampsey in 1900.

John had previously been married to Margaret Harvey. They had children in Philadelphia and then Londonderry. Some of their children were still living there in 1911, although no further trace of John or Charlotte has been identified.
