Biography

Josiah Joshua Lynn, son of Josiah and Matilda (Yeomans) Lynn, is found living with his parents in the 1850 and 1860 census, at ages 4 and 14 respectively.[1][2] He was married on 21 June 1863 to Rachael B. M. Anderson.[3] He and his family appear in the census as follows ...

Joshua was living with Zibe and Maggie Collins, who owned the farm on which Joshua worked.[7]

Josiah fought for the Confederacy in the American Civil War. On 4 March 1862, he enlisted as a Private in Company G, 11th Georgia Infantry Battalion. He transferred to Company G, 47th Georgia Infantry Regiment on 12 May of the same year, and mustered out on 1 August. He enlisted again on 15 February 1864.[8][9][10]
