Luvinca Lynn, daughter of William and Winnefred (Green) Lynn, was born in Tattnall County, Georgia. Sometime in or before 1860, the family moved to Levy County, Florida, where they are found in the 1860 and 1870 census ...

Known affectionately as Luvincy, she later married Lewis Powell and made a home back in Tattnall County. She died on 3 May 1926 and was buried in the Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Cobbtown, the resting place of many of the Lynn family.^[3]
