Biography

Henry was named as a son of William Lynn in William's will dated 9 December 1784. His bequest consisted of two parts. First was a share of his father's personal estate equal to the shares bequeathed his sisters Sarah and Hannah. Second was a tract of land in Rowan County whereon his father then lived.[1]

On 5 December 1796, Henry Linn applied for a marriage license in Rowan County, but his bride's name was not recorded on the marriage bond.[2] He has not turned up in Rowan County in either the 1800 or 1810 census with either spelling of his family name.
