Biography

Frances Hazeltine Lyon was born about 1833 in South Carolina. Hazeltine was the daughter of John Lyon Jr. and Anne M. Teague.[1]

Frances married George Niven on the 30th January 1855 in Shelby county, Alabama.[2]

Frances was a widow by 1860, and appears in the 1860 Federal census in Shelby county, Alabama in the household of her father John Lyon.[3]

Frances married the widower Newton C. Milam on the 7th of September, 1874 in Shelby county, Alabama.[4]

Frances, age 45 and her daughter Ann Nivens, age 23, appear in the 1880 Federal census in Shelby county, Alabama in the household of Newton C. Milam.[5]
