Thomas (Lyon) Lyon of Auldbar was born in Scotland.
Thomas was born circa 1540, the son of John Lyon and Janet Keith.[1][2][3] He was the Lord HIgh Treasurer of Scotland.
He married firstly, after 1571, Agnes Gray, 3rd daughter of Patrick, 5th Lord Gray and relict of Sir Robert Logan, of Restalrig and Alexander, 5th Lord Howe ( and 5th cousin of Lady Jane Gray).[4][5][6] They had two daughters:
