Biography

Julia was born about 1847. She is the daughter of Spencer Lyon and Charlotte Clark.

In the 1850 census ^[1] Julia is age 3 living in Brooklyn, Cuyahoga County, Ohio with her mother who had remarried a Spencer Lyon. Also in the household are two half siblings, Joel (age 13) and Jane (age 11) from her mother's first marriage to Israel Seaton (Seyton), and her siblings Luther (age 9), Electa (age 8), Julius (age 8), and Cornelius (age 5). In the census they are all listed with the last name Lyon, but it is likely this was a mistake by the census-taker; and that they carry the names Seaton (Seyton) or Reynolds respectively.
