David was born in 1749. He is the son of Samuel Lyon and Abigail Crane.

David may have been born in 1748 or 1759 Most references list his birthplace as Cornwallis, NS. He married Elizabeth Ratchford May 25, 1779 at Cornwallis. They had at least 11 children. He died in 1812 at Cornwallis and may have been buried at Pereau Cemetery. [1] [2] The FamilySearch family tree shows his parents as Samuel Lyons and Abigail Crane.

David Lyons (19) married Elizabeth Ratchford (16) (born 1762 in Cornwallis, Kings Co.; daughter of Thomas Ratchford (1741–abt. 1814) and Desire (Gore) Ratchford (1740–1813)) on May 25, 1779 in Cornwallis, Kings, Nova Scotia. [3] [4]

David Lyons and Elizabeth Ratchford were married in Cornwallis on May 5, 1779. This marriage date is recorded in the Township records of Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada (possibly the marriage license date?).

On April 6, 1803, David Lyons purchased land in the whitewater area near the Pereau River from Thomas M. Beckwith.

David died on June 20, 1812 in Cornwallis, aged 52. (FamilySearch)

David's death is listed as June 20, 1812 in the index of probate records for Kings County, Nova Scotia (1784-1949.) David's residence is listed as Cornwallis. The place of death is blank. David's wife, Elisabeth, is listed as his heir. The File ID is ADM L-3 and the ID is ADM L-3.
