David may have been born in 1748 or 1759 Most references list his birthplace as Cornwallis, NS. Parents unknown. He married Elizabeth Ratchford May 25, 1779 at Cornwallis. They had 11 children. He died in 1812 at Cornwallis and may have been buried at Pereau Cemetery.
