- "Thomas Ratchford Lyons was the son of David Lyons, 1759–1812 and Elizabeth Ratchford, 1762–1843.
He married Ann Skinner, 1782–1815 (daughter of Charles Skinner and Sarah Osborne) on 5 Oct 1802 in , Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
After her death, he married Ann Griffin, 1790–1858 (daughter of James Chipman Griffin and Sarah Harris) on 21 May 1818 in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada."
