Biography

Sarah Lyons (1860-1939) m. George Blackwell; another resident of Pleasant Valley. He owned and operated sawmill in Westmeath. They had 3 girls and 3 boys and are buried in Westmeath Union Cemetery. She died at her daughter’s in Copper Cliff, ON

George was from a family of ten, and owned and operated a sawmill in Westmeath. He married SARAH LYONS (1860-1939). Three of the family; Richard Allen, Nina Margaret and George Irvin would move to Michigan, USA. And two of the family would marry two of the O’Brien Family.
