Biography

James S. Lytle Jr was born around 1870, the son of James S. Lytle Sr and Ellen Ruffin. He was the brother of Cornelia J. Lytle, Mary A. Lytle, and Millie Lytle. He died after 1930, possibly in Ohio.

Note

James is living with his mother and two sisters in Cleveland, Ohio by the 1900 census. The 1910 Census for Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH states that James, Jr. is 32 and living with his mother Ellen who is widowed. His occupation is a proofreader for the newspaper. By the 1930 census, he is still living alone and is still a proofreader for the newspaper. Perhaps he was single for his lifetime.
