Marie Léger was born on 15 Jul 1871 in Cocagne, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Philippe Léger (1837–1910) and Cécile Gallant (1834– ).[1][2]

Marie (26) married Francois Caissie (32) (born on 15 Sep 1865 in Grande-Digue, Dundas; son of Damien Caissie and Madeleine (Goguen) Caissie) on 8 Nov 1897 in Grande-Digue, Dundas, Nouveau-Brunswick.[3] Their known children were:
