François Damas Ménard was born and baptized on 9 Dec 1769 in Verchères, Province of Québec. His parents were Louis Ménard and Charlotte Burelle.[1]

François Mennard dit Bellerose married Marguerite Chanion dite Larose, daughter of Pierre Chanion dit Larose and the late Judith Lussier, on 21 Nov 1791 in Saint-Mathieu parish of Beloeil, Province de Québec.[2]
