Last Rites For Mrs Albert Barta, 50, Held Sunday
Funeral services for Mrs. Albert F. Barta, 50. were held from Hubbard Funersl Home Sunday, Jan. 1, with Rev. J. H. E. Willmann of La Grange, former Methodist pastor here and Rev. J. M. McDonald of Weimar officiating. Interment was made in City [Odd Fellows] Cemetery.
Death came Friday night to Mrs. Barta after a lingering illness.
The daughter of Carl and Albertina Maas, she was born December 18, 1899 at San Saba, Texas. She was married to Mr. Barta Aug 16, 1922, at San Saba and they had made their home here ever since. Mrs. Barta was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her mother, Mrs. Carl Maas of San Saba; a daughter, Miss Dorothy Gene Barta of Weimar; one sister, Mrs.Annie Steinmann of Briddy, and also four brothers, Carl Maas, Jr., of San Saba, Arthur Maas of Yoakum, Frank Maas of Fort Worth, and Herbert Maas of Vernon. Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
Pallbarers at the funeral were G. W. Shaver, W. H. Hollien, Adolf Kristek, John Hajovsky, Robert McMillan and Chas. D. Ammann. Weimar Mercury, January 6, 1950
