Biography

The birth date for "Unknown" MacAskill's has been estimated @ 1537, based on the birth of three sons by 1560 (marriage estimated @ 20 yrs old). The date of her death also has been estimated based on the birth of her sons, @ after 1560. She was the daughter of the Chief of the MacAskills; her father and mother's names and those of possible siblings are unknown.

She married Neil MacLeod VII of Glenelg and Gesto (abt 1524-aft 1616). ^[1] The marriage date has been estimated @ 1557, based on the birth of three sons by 1560. According to the now extinct ACMS source, "Unknown" MacAskill and Neil had at least four sons.
