Donald was the first child born to Alexander MacDonald Catherine MacIan, perhaps born blind, supposed to have been cursed before his birth by his mother because her husband had killed her five brothers in revenge for treachery by her father, John MacIan of Ardnamurchan. [1]
Donald died between 1545 and 1554.[2]
He had a son, Donald , and a grandson Donald Gorm.
