Christina (Christie) Elizabeth MacDonald, the daughter of Donald MacDonald and Sophia Hardy, was born in Gabarus, Cape Breton, 11 April 1846. [1] Christie married Samuel William Mann in Gabarus, Cape Breton, 8 March 1866.[2] The couple settled in Gabarus where Samuel worked as a fisherman. They are listed there in the Canada Census for 1871,[3] 1881,[4] 1891,[5] and 1901.[6]
In 1921, Christina was widowed and living in Sydney. [7]
Christie died. 14 August 1927 in Sydney, Cape Breton and was buried 16 August 1927 in Harbour Cemetery, Gabarus, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.[1][8]
