Biography
Marion was born in 1884, the daughter of Sandy MacDonald and Mary Travis. [1] Her parents were shown as Alexander McDonald and Mary Travis. The birth was registered at Rupanyup, which is about 30km West of Banyena.
In 1914 she married Archibald John Hemphill (1884-1965). [2] She married as Marion McDonald. Archibald was the son of Ireland born Joseph Hemphill (1841-1918) and Janet Hay McNie (1851-1939). [Ancestry Trees]. Ancestry users record date of marriage as 29 April, 1914 at Burrum, which is East of Rupanyup.
They had 1 known child:-
- Mary McDonald Hemphill (1916-1993) m. 1942 to George Alexander Anderson (1915-1996).
Archibald died in 1965.
