She graduated from St. Francis Xavier University at the age of 84 and was a proud wearer of the "X" Ring that was given to her by the graduates of 1983.

She is survived by her four children: Rosemary Scanlon, New York; Malcolm MacLellan (Marie-Ange), Moncton; Donalda "Donnie" Dineen (late Jake Dineen), Ottawa and Louise MacLellan (Michael Taub) of Montreal; nine grandchidren: Joanne MacLellan (Gordon Marrs); Trish MacLellan Clarry (Doug); Douglas MacLellan (Janna); Marcia MacLellan (Darren); Sean Scanlon (Rebecca); Jennifer Scanlon (Bronson Fox); Jacqueline Brownell (Andre Gomes); Stephanie Brownell (Dan Hrankowsky); Jane MacLellan (Chris Pfister); Bradley and Derek Taub; fourteen great grandchildren: Riane and Jamie Marrs; Andrew and Cameron Clarry; Megan and Kaitlyn MacLellan; Rogan Gomes; Delilah and Ravenna Fox; Brian and Keira Scanlon; MacLellan "Mac"; Mia Louise Hrankowsky and Davy Mac Pfister; sister: Norma Fox, Manitoba; sister in law, Anne Collins, Ottawa; many loving nieces and nephews and her faithful caregivers: Clara Daley and her sister, Angela; Colleen Mason, Marian and daughter Tara Delorey, Melba DeYoung-Avery and Barbara MacDonald.
