Foster Murray MacFarland was born 25 Nov 1896 to Rev John Foster MacFarland and Nathalia MacFarland nee Murray in Dundas, Ontario, Canada. He was the oldest of five children. Murray served in the Royal Air Force as a Lieutenant and was killed in action in France during World War I. He was only 21 years old at the time of his death on 3 Sep 1918.
