ANSWER: this is what I Taylor-25258 15:26, 14 April 2017 (EDT), got when I changed the date from "1100" to "1070".....gads
OK, His son Malcolm was born "1113" same year of Lord John's death..
He was only 43 years old when he died?????????
Lord John's father, Eion was born "0960" and his mother Alpina was born "0990"
TRYING "1050" this makes him 63 when his son Malcolm was born.

The date of birth is not correct, "1100" makes him 13 when he died..
Changed it to match the geni.com "1070" even though they give NO SOURCE.

John MacGregor Lord of Glen Orchy

"ALIA: Lord of Glenorchy"

  3. He was the eldest son.
  4. His title (first record of the surname) was on record during the reign of Malcolm Canmore (1057-93.)

Sir Lord John MacGregor's wife's name is unknown, but their first known child was

  1. Malcolm MacGregor: BEF 1113
  2. Gregor MacGregor

(The only item on the description of his wife is: Marriage 1 (English beauty) Unknown) This from the Ralph Terry Family TREE who gives the exact same information that Sue Wilcox-Hosbach has shared. And they use the same sources

Sir Lord John's death was after 1113

Research Notes

IF "(first record of the surname) was on record during the reign of Malcolm Canmore (1057-93.)" How can his father John have the name..

The Mac DOES mean "SON OF" GREGOR..

Parentage for MacGregor 406 (John MacGregor b. 1050) does not make sense, as his listed father MacGregor 407 (Eion MacGregor) is listed as born 960. Would have made Eion 90 years old when John was born.
