Biography

Paul Macinnis was born son of George W. MacInnis and Jane E. Bezanson in Kennetcook, Kings Co. At the age of 1 he lived with his parents three brothers and two sisters lived in Horton, Kings Co., [1]

At the age of 21 Paul married first Muriel P. Smith daughter of Elias Smith and Lula Huskins on Aug., 9, 1941 in Yarmouth. [2] He joined the army but was discharged because he didn't meet the physical standards. The discharge date was Dec.,17, 1941. [3]

At the age of 23 he married Ethel M. Rhyno daughter of Percy Rhyno and Olive Surette on Nov., 20, 1943 [4] He worked as a truck driver. They had 9 children. Later he became a Marine Electrician he taught Ethel Rhyno to work with him. They worked on boats and houses also rewired motors. He worked for C. J. O'Hanley's before going off and working on his own. He spent many hours in his work shop.

At the age of 74 he divorced Ethel Rhyno and married Evelyn Smith Dec., 26, 1994. Paul died on May, 26, 2005 in the Yarmouth Hospital with His daughters G. Hope MacInnis, Dale MacInnis and Toni MacInnis at his side.

Memories

Sometimes when dad went to Meteghan or Clarks Harbor to work he would bring Mom, Troy and I with him and while he worked on a boat at the wharf we would fish.

In the spring Dad would take us fishing off the Renardton bridge on Sunday.
