Biography

Allan was born in 1833 1 at 2 Teviot Rows, Edinburgh and baptised at St Cuthberts. He was the son of Lachlan MacLean and Christina MacLean.

He lived in the family home into his mid 20's. Allan's last known residence was in 1861 at Liff Mann in the county of Angus, Scotland .

Allan was the informant for his father's death in 1868 and his brother John's in 1863.
