      "SILVESTER - MACLEOD
The marriage of Granville Archer Silvester, of Casterton, to Alexandra Frances Henty, daughter of the late AM MacLeod, of Talisker, Merino Downs, and the granddaughter of the late Mr Francis Henty, was quietly celebrated at Christ Church, Hawthorn, of Tuesday, October 12. The cermony[sic] was performed by the Rev Herbert Taylor (vicar), who had also baptised the bride in her infancy, and the wedding music was played by Mr Henry Alsop, who had presided at the organ when the bride's mother was married 25 years ago. The bride was given away by her guardian (Mr Peebles), and was attired in a smart white cloth coat and skirt, and a hat in pale pink colouring, and she carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley. Mr Hebblethwaite was best man. Wedding tea was served at Menzies', and the small party included Miss Henty, of Field Place, Studley Park, and the bride's sister (Mrs Kenneth McWhae) and her husband, both of whom leave shortly for Egypt. The bride and bridegroom subsequently left by the Sydney express for their honeymoon, which is being spent in the Blue Mountains."
