He was born about 1800 and was the son of the widow Christine MacLeod. who with her sons settled in Big Brook. He married Catherine, the sister of William Cummings, pioneer. They settled on a lot about 3/4 mile eas of the Alex John MacLeod farm and a mile back from the Valley Mills road. They had ten children. #4
