Jessie was born to John MacLeod and Ellen Scott on 27 September 1900.[1] In the 1901 census, Jessie was enumerated in Springhill, Cumberland, Nova Scotia.[2] In the 1911 census, Jessie, age 11, was enumerated in Springhill, Cumberland, Nova Scotia.[3] In the 1921 census, Jessie, age 20, was enumerated in Springhill, Cumberland, Nova Scotia.[4]
