Biography
James MacLeod, son of Donald, married Elizabeth Anne Gasper, a daughter of Francis Gasper. This Francis Gasper was a native of Portugal who settled and prospered at Brook Village.[1]
Elizabeth Gaspard, daughter of Francis and Bridget, married James McLeod, son of Donald and Christy, on Oct 29, 1866.[2]
Donald McLeod (70) is on the 1871 census as a widower with his children; Thomas (30), Flora (25) and Margaret (31) as well as a probable grand daughter Catherine (6). Next door is son James MacLeod (46) with wife Elizabeth (27) sons Donald (3) and Francis (1).[3]
