DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
Mace-1249 and Mace-134 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth date, wife, and daughter, but parents are different. I think the correct parents are Henry Mace and Ann Petty. See "The Mace Family in America," https://www.familysearch.org/photos/artifacts/93276029
I believe this is not the father of John Mace born in Dorchester County, MD. John Mace wa sborn in Dorchester County and so was his father, William Mace, born in 1760. William Mace was a medical doctor and moved to Baltimore County, MD where he rode from house to hoouse tending to patients. His descendents were also doctors and were involved in supporting the Franklin square Hospital in Baltimore County. The Mace family grave site still exists on the grounds of Franklin Square Hospital which was built on the Mace Estate. I Don't know how to fix this profile.
