Margaret Mackay was born about October 1870, her father, William Mackay, and her mother, Anabella, nee Gordon. She grew up on the family farm in East Nissouri.^[1],^[2],^[3]

Margaret died at age 62 from chronic nephritis in September 1932 in Middlesex County, Ontario. She had bladder cancer. She was buried in St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Thamesford, Oxford County, Ontario.^[3]

Research Note

Her birth date is still uncertain. The 1911 Census says she was born in October 1868. However, her husband reported on her death certificate that she was born in October 1870.^[2],^[3] This needs further research.
