Biography
Janet was born on December 25, 1822 in Rothesay, Scotland, and baptised in March 1823. In the census records of 1851, Janet was listed as married to John Baxter and living with him and two children, Archibald (2 years old) and Isabella (one month old). A third child (John) was born in 1852. A fifth child (Catherine) was born in 1855. Janet died in May 1857, 12 days after the birth of a child.
