Biography

He is noticed in Ferguson's work[1], as a father, in the Baptism Register of the 1st Regiment (Old Regiment) of the Scots Brigade when he, and his wife Isabel Murray, appear at the baptism of their son, Hector Mackenzie, at Port Morelle at Tournai in the United Netherlands (now Tournai in Belgium) on 28 August 1709.

He is said to have been in Captain Marjoribanks' company of the 1st Regiment.
