Biography

Eddie was born at Rainbow, Victoria on 20 July 1907 to parents Hugo and Maria (born Noack) Mackenzie. His family moved from their farm at Pella, Victoria to Kumbia, Queensland in 1918, where Eddie worked first as a farmer and later as a builder. He was a talented woodworker and furniture maker.

He married Lila Paech at Southport, Queensland on 28 August 1934. The marriage produced three sons and three daughters
