Biography
Kenneth Douglas Kilcoy Fraser Mackenzie was born in 1898 in Forest Gate, Essex, England to Evan George Mackenzie and Frances Mary (Green) Mackenzie. His birth was registered in West Ham, Essex in the first quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Green.[1]
In 1901 Kenneth F Mackenzie (age 3) lived at 4 St Margarets Road in Plumstead, London with his father Evan G (39, Supt Electrical Engineer), mother Frances M (33), sister Valerie F (10), brother Evan F (4), grandmother Georgiana Mackenzie (62), and boarder William F Millsom (24, Steam Engine & Hydraulic Fitter).[2]
In 1911 K D Mackenzie (age 13, School) lived at 2 Ann's Villas in Woodford Green, Essex with his father E G (49, Electrical Engineer Steamship), mother F M (43), sister V (20, Student), brother E C (14, School), and grandmother G M Mackenzie (76).[3]
Kenneth married Mabel Milne(?) before 1941.
Kenneth Douglas Mackenzie, a civilian navigation instructor, died in an air crash on 28 Jan 1941 near Goat Fell / Brodick, Isle of Arran, Scotland[4] - his usual residence was Mainholm near Annbank, Ayrshire, Scotland.
He is buried at Monkton and Prestwick Cemetery in Prestwick, Ayrshire: "In memory of my beloved husband (Captain) KENNETH MACKENZIE killed 28 Jan 1941."[5]
"MACKENZIE Kenneth Douglas Kilcoy Fraser otherwise Kenneth Douglas of Mainholm Drumley Annbank died 2 February 1941 at Brodick Confirmation of Mabel Milne or Mackenzie widow.
