Thomas married Rosannah Mcintire in Ireland. He was living in Tyrone County, Ireland in 1761. With his wife and several children, he emigrated to Roawn, Burke County, North Carolina, before the American Revolution (per the pension records of his son, Samuel). About 1785 Thomas moved to Wilkes County, Georgia, and was living in what was created into Elbert County, Ga., in 1790. He was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church, now in Madison County, Ga., at the time of his death in 1796, "a very old man." He is said to be buried in Hampton Cemetery, near Danielsville, george. Thomas was a social of the Revoluation in North Carolina.[1]
