Research Notes

A reference for his death could not be found.

Scotland BIrths and Baptisms 1564 - 1950 record indicates Isobel Malcolme Christening 21 Oct 1708 in Drumoak, Scotland, Father's name John Malcolme.

Scotland Marriages, 1561 - 1910 provides the following. Isobel Malcom marriage to Robert Mackie 25 November 1736 in Drumoak, Scotland.

IRecords for the following children have been found. Thomas Mackie Christening 4 September 1737 in Drumoak, Aberdennshire, Scotland. Isobel Mackie Christening 18 April 1739 in Drumoak, Scotland. John Mackie Christening 27 April 1740 in Drumoak, Scotland. Jean Mackie (female) Christening 15 March 1746 in Drumoak, Scotland. Agnes MacKay Christening 6 March 1750 in Drumoak, Scotland. Two sons: Thomas and John. Three daughters: Isobel, Jean, and Agnes. All born in Drumoak, Scotland. Note: all the dates listed are the dates of Christening and not necessarily the dates of birth. It also appears that John Mackie is the only child that lived in the United States.

So, if John Mackie was Christened on 27 April 1740, he must have arrived at Prince Edward, Virginia about the age of 26. He married his spouse Sarah Burnett the same year 2 September 1766 in Prince Edward, Virginia, British Colonial America.

Robert Mackie married Isobel Malcom in the parish of Drumoak, Aberdeenshire on 25 November 1736.[3]
