Biography

Ireland Native
Benjamin Mackie was born in Ireland.
Benjamin was a Friend (Quaker)

Benjamin Mackie, Jr., was born about 1759 in County Armagh to Benjamin Mackie and Mary Williamson. He married Isabella. He moved to Dublin where he was disowned for having associated “with disreputable Company to defraud and purloin the goods of his Employers” on 21 October 1783.[1] He must have repented as he was again disowned by the Ballyhagan Monthly Meeting on 28 August 1785 for having been “Joined in Marriage to a Young Woman by a Priest.”[2]
