Biography

Margaret Mackintosh and her twin sister Harriet were born on 5 November 1772, the daughters of John Mackintosh and his wife Ann. They were baptised at the parish church of St Matthew Bethnal Green on 1 December 1772: [1]

Margaret married Major Patrick Alexander Agnew of the East India Company on 14 April 1794: [2]

She was widowed in January 1813, did not remarry and died on 29 September the following year (1814) at Hythe, Kent: [3]
DIED - On the 29th ult. at the house of her brother Col, Goldfinch, at Hythe, Mrs. Agnew widow of Major General Agnew, of the Madras Establishment

Margaret was buried at the parish church of Hythe St Leonard, Kent on 6 October 1814. [4]
