James E. Macy married Mary Ann Emery, daughter of George Emery and Elizabeth Pierce, in Boston, Massachusetts on July 4, 1833.[1][2][3][4][5] They were the parents of Mary Frances Macy, b. 1834, and Charles Thatcher Macy, b. 1840.[1][2]
In 1846, James married Hannah Whidden at Dover, New Hampshire.[6][7]
