"[R]emoved from Nantucket in 1846, and resided in Manchester, N. H., until 1854. Returned to Nantucket in 1854, and moved from there to Detroit, Mich., in 1857."[4]
In Detroit, became the General Receiver of the Michigan Central Railroad.[5]
