OBITUARY. Mrs. B. FITZPATRICK, NACKARA

The death occurred at Nackara, on Thursday evening the 26th inst., of Mrs Bridget Fitzpatrick, relict of the late Patrick Fitzpatrick, at the ripe age of 80 years. The deceased lady, who died a very happy death, was a native of County Limerick, Ireland, and arrived in this State with her brother the late Mr Denis Madigan of Mintaro in 1852. She was married to her late husband in October of the same year, at St. Patrick's Church, West Terrace and lived for a time at Greenock, and afterwards at Manoora, where she reared a family of 12 children, nine of whom survive. In 1883 the family removed to Nackara, where she resided until the time of her death. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was highly respected by all classes and was noted for her many acts of kindness and charity. The funeral took place at Dawson on Saturday, and despite the torrent of rain on the previous day, was largely attended. The Rev. Father W. O'Byme, who attended her in her illness, officiated at the grave. There are two sons, Messrs. Patrick and Timothy Fitzpatrick of Nackara, and seven daughters, viz., Mesdames. J. Pilkington, Torrensville, L. Victory, Yongala, J. Howard, Oodla Wirra, J. Keneseley, Dawson, E. Darragh, Pamaroo, W. Kelly, Penola, and Miss Annie Fitzpatrick, Nackara. The late Mrs P. O'Loughlin, Mannuanarie, Mrs J. Horan, Oodla Wirra and Mr John Fitzpatrick, Port Pirie, were also members of her family. R.I.P.
