JOANN CORA SPENCER 932 NORTH ANN ARBOR ST., SALINE Age 58, died March 5,1990 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor after a short period of illness. Mrs. Spencer was born May 13, 1931 in Fort Dodge, la., the daughter of George and Josphine (Ferguson) Madison. She had been a Saline resident for the past 23 years. On August 15, 1953 in Ann Arbor, she married Oscar Kelly Spencer and he survives. Mrs. Spencer worked for the Ypsilanti Regional Psychiatric Hospital as a secretary until her retirement in March of 1989. She was a member, of the ’Wednesday Nite Ladies Bowling League at the Colonial Lanes in Ann Arbor, and the Thursday Nite Ladies Bowling League at Saline Lanes, Saline. She was an avid golfer and participated in golf leagues at Brookside Golf Course and Rustic Glen Golf Course. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include: two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Corinne) Widmayer of Manchester and Mrs. Daniel (Jody) Jasper of Milan; one son, Scott Spencer, and his Wife Terri of Saline; six grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Madison of Livonia and George Madison Jr. of Ann Arbor; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister Joyce Hertler.[1]
