Matena Christina Madison was the daughter of Mads and Anna Kartensen. Matena Immigrated to USA in May 1881 with her brother Fred, and Married Matt Nielson Mattson on November 18,1882. Matt immigrated to the US in 1880 with Matena's brother, Hans. Matena lived with her brother, Hans, in Webster City IA for a month, then moved to Goldfield. Matt moved to Goldfield at the same time. They had eight children.
Matena was born in 1858. She passed away in 1941. [1]
